While the staff at Sweet Cures make every effort to ensure our products are allergen and contaminant free, we cannot guarantee accidental cross-contamination hasn't occurred during transit. Diuretics in any form, cause the body to lose more water than it normally would by inhibiting the kidney's ability to absorb sodium. This increases the production of urine, resulting in less water retainion. Diuretics should only be used only under medical supervision.
As an environmentally conscious manufacturer of quality products, Sweet Cures has long recognised the importance of sustainability in product packaging. Our ecologically friendly packaging and marketing materials are chemical free, biodegradable and recyclable (PP5), ensuring the well-being of future generations.
Sweet Cures stocks the widest variety of D-Mannose products available on the market today. We pioneered the fusion of Natural Lemon and D-Mannose resulting in an improved flavor while providing additional bladder support by alkalizing urine. We are a UK manufacturer producing only the highest quality, pure and contaminant free D-Mannose in our on-site clean-room facilities. Our stringent quality control procedures and exceptional customer service ensure you're receiving a product you can trust and the after-sales service you may need.
Yes, Waterfall D-Mannose is a 100% natural food supplement. If you are currently taking, or have been advised to take antibiotics, please consult your physician before making any changes to your regime.
D-Mannose will cross the placental barrier, but it is as unlikely to cause damage as a spoonful of regular table sugar (sucrose). Research shows that the fetus needs D'Mannose for normal development. If you have any concerns, we recommend that you consult a medical professional who knows you and your circumstances.
D-Mannose is a completely natural simple sugar, not a toxin, so is it much safer to use than antibiotics. For young children and infants, the dose should be adjusted according to weight. Consider the powdered version, or smaller, easier to swallow 500mg tablets.
D'Mannose is safe for long-term use. Only a small amount of ingested D'Mannose is actually metabolised, most of it is expelled through the urine. There is no disruption or imbalance to the microbiome. Its safe for pregnant women and infants.
Pure D'Mannose is an isomer of glucose, not glucose, and its effect on metabolism is not statistically traceable. We have hundreds of diabetic customers, who while they must continue to monitor their sugar, have never once reported a problem.
Our D-Mannose is from extracted from sweet forest timbers (mainly of the hard Fagaceae and Betulaceae families) without the use of solvents. It is also naturally occurring in trace amounts in many fruits (berries, tomatoes, apples, oranges, peaches, pineapples), vegetables (bringle, green beans, cabbage, broccoli), legumes (kidney beans, green beans, soybean, lima beans) and spices. Although it is also found in cranberries, the ascorbic acid in cranberries acidifies the urine, creating an environment in which E.Coli thrive. Long term, eating fruit and vegetables promotes good health, however the amount of D-Mannose found in food is substantially less than what would be required for immediate bladder support.
When we have been ill or unable to maintain a healthy and nutritious diet, supplements are generally considered useful to bridge that gap. While supplements are never intended to replace a healthy diet or diagnosis and treatment from a qualified medical doctor, dietary supplements are widely considered to be beneficial to a healthy life style. Some examples are calcium and vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin C and Multi Vitamins, B complex, Probiotics, Iron Supplements, Glucosamine. Food supplements are derived from food sources but usually provide a greater concentration of what is desired.
D-mannose is already found in small quantities in fruits such as peaches, pineapple, apples, oranges, and berries. It is even found in some of the cells in your body, including the cells of the urinary tract.
When ingested, D-Mannose is absorbed directly into the blood from the upper gastrointestinal tract. Unlike glucose, is not converted to glycogen, nor stored in the liver. It is metabolised eight times slower than glucose, making it a low GI supplement, which helps metabolise fat more efficiently. Within four hours, ingested D-Mannose has been entirely filtered out of the blood by the kidneys and is stored in the urinary bladder. It is now ready to be expelled from the body via urine, leaving no chance for weight gain from D-Mannose itself.
One reason is because purity varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Our D-Mannose is 100% contaminant free, pure D-Mannose.
It is not a herbal product, but a monosaccharide isomer of glucose, a completely natural food supplement. See What is D'Mannose for more information.
Yes. And they are just as good value. Each tablet is branded with a unique "WDM" stamp which is your guarantee of purity and qaulity. Please be weary of fakes which are often diluted with in-effective additives and contaminents. Our biodegradable packaging fits through the letter box. Our flip top pocket-sized handy packs ensure discretion and convenience when you are away from home.
Because everyone is different, the information on our product suggests anything between 1 and 24 tablets a day, depending on your individual requirements. Please see a doctor if there is no improvement within 24 hours.
We supply D-Mannose to veterinarians for cats, dogs, and horses. Please refer to our D-Mannose Pet product if you're considering supplementing your pet's bladder health.
One of the first well intentioned, but false, pieces of advice that is passed on to women who develop UTIs is that cranberry juice helps cystitis. Unfortunately, cranberry juice contains ascorbic acid which acidifies the urine, creating an environment in which gram negative bacteria, such as E.Coli, thrive. It is also high in sugar which can promote the growth of bacteria. Alkalising the urine is a much better option for the prevention of bacterial growth, Cranberry Juice exacerbates the problem.

It has been pointed out that an average sized 54 gram bar of milk chocolate has at least 500mg of stearic acid. That's at least 5 times more than is found in one tablet of Waterfall D-Mannose which contains less than 100mg. Stearic acid is also commonly found in other food products containing saturated fat such as beef, chicken, fish, eggs and grains. While some research shows that stearic acid appears to have a neutral affect on the cholesterol in blood, other research shows it actually reduces bad cholesterol.
