Thank you so much, for Waterfall D-mannose. I've at last found life after pain!!

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 10 years ago. My life changed rapidly and I had to come to terms with the beast!

After divorce and moving house, I decided that I was a "Bridget Jones" and I'd take up smoking, drink too much wine and put on weight. End of life as I knew it!!

Struggling with E. coli for 1.5 years

I have been very pleased with D-Mannose, it has worked extremely well for me. I have been struggling with E. coli for 1.5 years now, even though I have always managed to control previous occasional cystitis attacks just by having loads of water at the first symptoms. Since I started taking D-Mannose (pretty regularly at a low dose and higher doses before and after sex) I haven't had any cystitis problems at all !!! I will certainly continue using it.

I cannot find words that are adequate to describe what a Godsend Waterfall D-Mannose has been to me. I have just experienced the worst case of recurrent UTI of my life. About the tablets

Dear John < Anna,

Just a quick note to let you know that I have had excellent success with my recurring infections with the new tablets.

I don't know why, but for me they seem more effective than the powder - probably because the dose is more controlled?

Anyway - I cannot thank you guys enough for giving me an antibiotic free lifestyle - Its Great!!!

Just to add to your evidence, I am allergic to penicillin and as such have never been prescribed this for a UTI. I went from Trimethoprim, which is now ineffective, to Cephalexin/Ciproxin - again now ineffective, on to Nitrofurantoin - of which I have only had two courses. The last lab report that I had showed that the infection was affected by only nitrofurantoin and penicillin - Clearly showing that the repeat e-coli infections have evolved to become immune to the normally prescribed antibotic.

Hope this adds to the evidence.

Phase of frequent but mild bouts of cystitis

Thanks for your email and even more so for d-mannose. My daughter H...... found your site; she's 17 and is going through a phase of frequent but mild bouts of cystitis; I get occasional but more severe bouts which I've always had to get antibiotics for previously, or it turns to a nasty kidney infection. H...... hates taking antibiotics and found your treatment works really well for her, so when I succumbed I thought I 'd try it too.

It worked really quickly, I was delighted. The only problem I had was, I obviously didn't keep it up for long enough after symptoms ceasing, and it did come back after a day, so I had to start again, and keep going for longer.

We have both decided to keep some in reserve for any sign of infection coming on, but not taking a maintenance dose as it doesn't seem necessary at the moment.

Our family doctor was very interested when H..... told him about you; I hope he's looked at the site for himself.

Misbehaving bladder since childhood

Waterfall D-Mannose is a wonderful product.

I use it mainly to prevent infections taking hold. When I feel that my urine is what I call getting "acidy" ie: slightly stingy and irritating I use it then until everything settles down...which can be anything up to a week or longer.

It does certainly ease symptoms very quickly and I have tried everything!! I have had various urine infections and a misbehaving bladder since childhood so it is nice to find a product that works and also does not taste foul!

UTI had developed into a kidney infection

I think when I last emailed you my UTI had developed into a kidney infection (thanks for the advice about taking higher doses of Waterfall D-Mannose by the way!) I took your advice and upped my dosage and that, combined with the antibiotics worked - but it took a long time!

I am now taking a maintenance dose of Waterfall D-Mannose of 2 teaspoons a day, which I increase before and after sex ( as this is a big trigger for my UTI's!), and, touch wood, have been free of symptoms for about a week now!!

Struvite crystals in puppy's urine

My purchase of Waterfall D-Mannose was for Mozart, my 6-month-old puppy. Although we used it concurrently with antibiotics, the improvement started very soon after the first D-Mannose dose.

Looking back, Mozart must have been suffering from persistent cystitis since about September/October, but we didn’t realise until it became acute in November, when she was also diagnosed as having struvite crystals in her urine, exacerbated by the bacteria. The bacteria were diagnosed as e.coli in January, having failed to respond to 2 courses each, of two different antibiotics. (These appeared to work against the cultured bacteria in the test tube, but in practice they were either just subduing the infection – not killing it completely – or Mozart was being reinfected within a very short time of stopping the antibiotics). As soon as the bacteria were identified as e.coli, I did some Internet surfing. After finding your web and getting some helpful info from John, I bought some D-Mannose and started giving it to Mozart (with the consent of my vet) about 3 days after she started a third type of antibiotic.

Although the D-Mannose and antibiotic were given concurrently, I'm convinced that the D-Mannose helped. Both before diagnosis (prior to the acute spell) and with antibiotics, Mozart was asking to go out (approx) every 10-to-40 minutes. Within 3 days of finishing a course, the symptoms became acute again. However, I think it’s significant that within about 6 hours of starting the D-Mannose, Mozart was asking to go out much less frequently, and within a couple of days was only going out about once every 45 minutes to 2 hours. When we finished the antibiotic course, we continued with a D-Mannose maintenance dose of a quarter of a teaspoonful, and the improvement lasted (ie toileting stayed less frequent).

However, a fortnight later, a urine culture, although negative for bacteria, still showed struvite crystals and white blood cells (a sign of inflammation and/or low-grade infection with too few bacteria to culture). The vet advised another course of antibiotics, which we gave (again, concurrent with D-Mannose maintenance) for another 2 weeks, and the latest in-house analysis was negative for infection, crystals and white blood cells. At last! We are keeping Mozart on a D-Mannose maintenance dose for at least another couple of months, then we may wean her off and see what happens.

Lived in pain for 8 years

I found your website looking for something to help my daughter. She has lived in pain for 8 years now with bladder infections, but when she would go back to the doctor her urine would not show infection but she always has pain. She has learned to live her life with it. The doctors said that it was probably an infection in the wall of her bladder. I ordered your product and she started taking it and began feeling better.

Feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders

I was starting to get sick of the inevitable wait for the next bout and decided to look on the internet for any self help methods or prevention and found your website, and I can't explain how glad I am. I have used it as prescribed for a week now, as a preventative before and after sex, and am completely cystitis free. I must admit that I was sceptical-if doctors couldn't (or wouldn't) take me seriously I thought a glyconutrient was unlikely to help, but I have happily been proved wrong.

Good nurse but a lousy patient

I have been really bad at taking my D-Mannose (I'm quite a good nurse but a lousy patient!) ...I never remember to take tablets etc. I have used D-Mannose when I even slightly begin to get symptoms of cystitis and it has worked each time. It has been a great relief to know that it's there and to have the confidence that it will work. C.

Food intolerance problem

Many thanks, I'm most impressed with your service. I tried the D-Mannose and it did help with the discomfort. My problem seems to be a food intolerance problem. My doctor has called it an 'irritable bladder'. I call it 'downright angry'! He also said that when I get the attacks I could have a very mild infection that doesn't show up in tests. Sounds unlikely to me but there you go. In any event, fingers crossed because I haven't had an attack for a while and I have the D-Mannose to hand if I should get a full blown UTI again.

Morbid Fascination

Just wanted to tell you what happened to me last night. I used to get cystitis after sex more often than not, then around 2 months ago I found your product. After a couple of months of being very careful I had sex without a spoonful before - it happens! Previously when this had happened I had a spoonful every 3 hours for a couple of days, but I wanted to see if I still needed it - morbid fascination. Sure enough my symptoms developed over about 4 days.

Last night I had 2 glasses of wine and then, whoosh, immediately the symptoms got worse. Within 1.5 hours there was blood in my wee. As soon as the symptoms appeared I started with a spoonful (heaped) of Waterfall D-Mannose . After 40mins it was much worse and I had 2 heaped spoons. Then another half an hour and still worse so I had 3 heaped spoons. I then checked instructions on website and realised I wasn't drinking enough. Another 2 heaped spoons of Waterfall D-Mannose and a glass of water later I flaked out exhausted but curled up in pain.

I actually rang the doctor to get antibiotics as I was so scared about how quickly I had deteriorated. It was too late to get antibiotics so I was advised to drink cranberry juice (which I didn't do) and go to bed (which I did do).

At 2am I was woken by terrible wind followed by a dramatic visit to the toilet (number 2 kind of drama). Following this I realised my wee hadn't hurt at the end. I could not believe it, even though I overdosed severely, it had worked and I now have confidence in Waterfall D-Mannose . In the morning I was very close to being normal again. Wind levels are returning to normal too!

The point of this story is to help people have confidence in your product. I felt like it couldn't possibly help me as it was so quickly brought on and dramatic. I was wrong.

UTI's (E.coli based)

The D-Mannose does indeed appear to be keeping the UTI's (ecoli based) at bay - each time I 've been tested there hasn't been a trace of it. Which is really good news. I recently had what I thought was an attack (with very similar symptoms) - however, this wasn't ecoli related.

I wouldn't be without the D-Mannose now, and use it for maintenance purposes.

Mixed results

I bought Waterfall D-Mannose for my mother who has been on antibiotics for recurring bladder infections for almost a year.

Unfortunately the treatment did not work. Though she has tried to resist antibiotics she has found her condition intolerable without them.

However, recently I began to feel the symptoms of cystitis myself, ( I have been prone to occasional attacks) so I took three lots of D-Mannose and the symptoms have gone.

Spate of infections one after the other

The Waterfall D-Mannose worked a treat. I don't normally suffer from bladder infections but a few months ago I went through a spate of infections one after the other. After taking your treatment for a week or two I was completely clear, and in fact as promised my cystitis was much better after a couple of treatments.

I tend to get it when I am very stressed

Thank you so much ... - the cystitis has not returned so far fingers crossed - I tend to get it when I am very stressed....I have taken a few maintenance doses when I have thought it might be rearing it's ugly head and it has gone away - so fantastic news all round really....as of yet I have not taken it when in the midst of a full blown attack....when I ordered it from you I was trying to stave it off with Cantharis - a homeopathic remedy - but this does take longer - when I took the Waterfall D Mannose I noticed immediate relief and the infection cleared up in about 4-5 days. My Cat Lilly

I just wanted to give you some feedback, as you requested on the telephone. My Cat Lilly, who is now 18 yeard old, has been suffering from e.coli in the bladder for over a year now, and it makes her prone to 'accidents' and she was obviously in quite a lot of discomfort. When I read your website, and after taking to John about it, I decided to try her on Waterfall D-Mannose at a third of a teaspoon five times a day, in a little milk. The results are that she has brightened up a huge amount over the last few days, and her urine is now not nearly so smelly, so I think it is working very well on her. I am going to keep her on a maintenance dose for the rest of this month, and then I will try to stop the dosage and see what happens. Thank you again, and I am definitely going to tell my vet about this.

Doctor said that it wasn’t acute enough for a diagnosis

I've had cystitis a few times (bacteria found on culture, but I didn’t think to ask which type), and about 18 months ago, I went to the doctor because I seemed to be starting with it again. However, on this occasion he said that it wasn’t acute enough for a diagnosis, and I should go away and drink a lot. I did, but things stayed the same – still not acute, but I ve had a constant feeling of wanting to ‘go’ ever since. Rather than go back to the doctor, I decided to put up with the constant daytime discomfort (it wasn’t too bad at night). Shortly after the second 3-hourly dose, I realised that the constant feeling had lessened considerably. On days 2 to 4, I took it mornings and evenings only, then stopped. Brilliant – I ve been completely back to normal for about 6 weeks.

Feeling alive again

Got the D Mannose in the post last night and started to take it. Even after an hour or so I could feel the difference. This morning I have felt better than I have for a long time ! Have been sorted now since I took Waterfall D-Mannose . Feel alive again. Can't believe something so simple can work so well. I even gave a bag to my sister who had been also struggling and it helped her too.

Suffered with recurrent bouts of cystitis all my adult life

I am 30 and have suffered with recurrent bouts of cystitis all my adult life that effected my work and social life.

Your website is really encouraging as it made me feel that I wasn't the only one who suffered from this really annoying and painful problem. It has clearly been written by people who understand cystitis and the impact on the people who suffer from it.

I placed my first order with you at Christmas time after suffering a really horrid spell that resulted me in going to the A< E department on Christmas day. I couldn't control vomiting brought on from a high temperature caused through a UTI.

Since taking D-Mannose (in relatively small regular doses as recommended) I have been cystitis free (HOORAY!), all bar one weekend (guess what I was up to?) where I did get some symptoms but managed to clear them up in a matter of hours, through increasing my dosage. Poked prodded and filled with antibiotics

I didn't know anything about Waterfall D-Mannose until the other night when I was up all night once again in pain and decided to look into cures and treatments online!

I have suffered with recurring infections since I was 5 years old. I have been poked prodded and filled with antibiotics all my life to try and help (for the last 4 years I have had about 6 Infections a year and basically in between I've still been uncomfortable...slight pain etc) I have been on antibiotics permanently for the last 8 months and recently they have not been effective, for the last week I've been in pain again and it got to a stage where I was just in tears and would have gladly done anything to help. I found your site online and read word for word... I thought I had become an expert on this kind of thing I drink my cranberry juice etc and know pretty much all I thought I could know (or at least what the docs told me!) I couldn't believe it to be honest...I've been damaging my body with all these pills when here in front of me was what looked like a solution! Anyway I didn't get my hopes built up, having tried lots of other options in the past and them failing I thought "No way is a simple sugar going to help...surely"

Well, I got your package this morning, after waking up once again in pain and took my first dose.....It's now 3 oclock and for the first time this week I can feel my bladder! (Sorry,. I know this doesn't make any sense but when I'm ill my bladder goes almost numb apart from the crampy aches and pains lower down.) Not only that but I'm not hurting!

Plagued by UTI’s for about four years

Finally, Something That Helps my Interstitial Cystitis

After using your product for just over a month, I just wanted to say thank you so much for my first period of being totally pain free for years! I have battled with interstitial cystitis most of my life, and I've had just about every test and treatment in the book, including bladder washes that actually made matters worse, and a urethral stretch, which only eased the pain for a short period. First of all I wanted to send you my story and above all THANK YOU for supplying this absolutely wonderful, fantastic, miracle product that gave me my life and happiness back!

I've had bladder infections ever since I used a contraceptive foam sold over the counter in the States. That was about 10 years ago.I first tried the antibiotics-route, gaining nothing more than a few weeks of being free of pain and having to deal with stomach upsets and never-ending yeast infections in return. After a year of that, I had enough and started to research alternative treatments. 9 years later, here I was, after chiropractic, diet changes, acupuncture, chinese medicine, homeopathy and even visits in an infrared sauna (which was supposed to help with the pain and detoxification). I have by now researched and ordered every product on the internet that is supposed to help. BladderSoothe, BladderHelp, KidneyAid...you name it, I got it! Every time I would get an infection, it would be worse. 2 years ago they started to go into my kidneys, pain, pain and more pain. Nights spent on the toilet, drinking gallons of water and getting more and more bloated because I couldn't pee it out. Cranberry just made it worse for me, so I stopped that fairly early.

Last year I switched homeopaths and she was fantastic. For about 8 months I was without pain - YEAH! Then it came back (after I had sex) and my homeopath was out of town. 9 days of pain, doubling over and I finally had it. I felt like crying, my whole life revolved around this disease. Will I be able to go out? How will I feel tomorrow? Can I have a normal, happy relationship with my partner? And I was constantly tired, not only from being up nights on end but just from having to deal with the pain on a daily basis. And then I remembered that a while ago a friend had emailed me some information about D-Mannose (she was contemplating to use it for her dog who suffered from severe cystitis). After I took my first dose, the pain lessened and I thought, this is absolutely not possible, it must be wishful thinking. Then one hour later, I took another dose, and by then I really had to pee and was afraid to, because of the pain. Finally I went and for the first time in two weeks, I had a strong, healthy stream and just a bit of tingling discomfort. That was it!!! I feel like I have my life back!!!

The first night, my infection came back, so in the morning I took a double dose and then the next night I took your advice and got up twice during the night, had a glass of water with D-mannose and was absolutely pain free! I am just writing to say thank you for changing my life! I really mean that too.

For 18 years, since I was 18 years old, I have suffered from recurring cystitis. I have tried everything, including taking regular prescribed anti-biotics that wrecked havoc with my immune system, taking cranberry supplements and drinking pints and pints of water - none of this worked. I have seen countless doctors, who either patronised me by telling me obvious things about personal hygiene that I have been ultra-careful about since childhhood, or they simply didn't know what to do so they resorted to anti-biotics.

Since taking your D-mannose for the first time, I have so far not even had a hint of an attack of cystitis. I am over the moon, as you can imagine! I'm wanting to say thankyou to you for your wonderful product D-Mannose. This is my story, you are welcome to use it on your site :)

I have had chronic UTI's since i was 8yrs old....i'm now 32 yrs old, so thats most of my life suffering in pain, sometimes they would get so bad my kidneys would become infected and that was agony.

I have had many tests,tried almost every natural product available including cranberry tablets and juices, chinese herbal medicines, been on countless antibiotics and getting trapped in a cycle of UTI's and thrush from the continual use of antibiotics. I had given up, i thought that i would just have to be on antiobiotics for the rest of my life and just manage the UTI/thrush cycle as best as i could. The problem was that i was becoming resistant to antibiotic treatment for the UTI, so the Dr would prescribe stronger and stronger antiobiotics and i was told the best that could be done for me was that just take an antibiotic after each time i had sex UNTIL oneday i had enough and i found your site online....at first i was skeptical to say the least, but hopeful at the same time.....when my first package arrived i already had a bad UTI so it took about a day for me to notice any difference after starting to use D-mannose powder, i continued using it for about 5 days and i could no longer feel any symptoms so i reduced the amount, but it was too soon to reduce my amount, so it flared back up and it was soooo bad this time. I wrote to John and Anna and they were so quick to reply to me and told me that it was too soon to reduce my dosage given how chronic my UTI's have been. I had to start antibiotics to give me relief, but i contiued to use d-mannose at the same time because i wanted long term help, and thankfully i did keep using d-mannose because 3 months later and for the first time in my life since 8yrs old i have relief from UTI's WITHOUT antibiotics.

I still get flare ups, but they are soooo much easier to get under control now and i know what causes a flare up and just take 3 tablets before sex and 3 tablets after sex and my maintence dosage is just 3 tablets a day usually at night before i go to bed.

I'm so happy that i am FINALLY off the merry go round of urinary tract infections and thrush, soooo thankyou John and Anna for your help and for all the information you have given me to improve my urinary health. I have found that applying the info in urethral infections has helped me greatly :)

I started suffering from frequent cystitis two years ago, slowly at first and finally settling into a twice monthly pattern of pure hell. I went through all the usual tests and a whole raft of antibiotics ranging from low grade to the very aggressive all of which provided short term relief but no lasting cure. The danger with long term use of antibiotics is probably very evident to everyone and can over a prolonged period of time cause some very unpleasant and lasting damage including liver damage.

In an effort to avoid this I started researching alternative therapies and came across sweet cures and d- mannose. The information on the website really made sense and I was particularly interested to read all the case studies and without any hesitation I purchased my first tub of d-mannose which arrived very promptly despite the fact that I don't live in the UK.

I found that in order to clear up a really bad episode you need to take a teaspoon every two hours - the symptoms will abate within 2-3 hours which is a huge relief but you should continue on the higher dosage for another day or two and then drop down to a 4 doses per day for another few days. I take a teaspoon morning and night as a maintenance dose and also a teaspoon around any trigger points - often repeating the dose at 4am in the morning as my attacks generally come early in the morning so this is a good preventative when you feel like something may be not quite right again.

My wife(who is 65) is now recovering from a bad cystitis and kidney infection. 5 weeks ago she went down with Cystitis and following an NHS website advice we did nothing for 4 days. By then she was going downhill and being the weekend unable to get a doctor to come out or get any weekend doctor to take an interest. By Monday she was having rigors and a paramedic arrived. He called the doctor and kidney infection with Septicaemia was diagnosed. She was being sick and given immediately antibiotics and anti-emetics( which did not work). 5 days later wife still very ill - phone call from Doctor to say culture had shown bacteria were resistant to most anti-biotics. Given a very powerful anti-biotic -nitrofurantoin.

Was still ill and the side effects of the drug were as bad as the illness. Rashes, swollen lips, nose bleeds et. Asked for advice from NHS direct and ambulance sent. No beds in Hospital so paramedic gave Adrenalin, Hydrocortisone etc but wife told to keep taking the drug as only one that would work.

After anti-biotic was finished wife still quite ill - ended up in hospital with Urine retention. No bacteria shown in culture so told just to take it easy and "you will recover" In desperation I surfed the web and came up with D-Mannose.

Since your tablets arrived my wife has been using them as per instructions ie 3 hourly etc and she is dramatically improved.

Needless to say I will be ordering more today and we will be taking some to our daughter in France.

Various physical bladder problems

Dear Anna,

What a wonderful product your Waterfall D Mannose has become in my life these past few weeks.

I have been told over the years I have various physical bladder problems requiring me to be on medication and even needing a physical procedure in February which was unsuccessful.  My life was blighted by having pass water every half hour. 

Within two days of taking Waterfall D Mannose my life has completely changed and now I am able to control my bladder almost as well as a normal person.  Absolutely amazing!  I have previous been most sceptical of alternative remedies and only took  this one in desperation not believing for a minute I would notice an improvement.  Within two days I noticed a great improvement and this has continued.  The freedom this product has given me back is a truly wonderful feeling and I would recommend anyone with a bladder problem to try it.

By the way the ESBL took around 4 and a half months to clear using 3 tablets every 2-3 hours and 1 month of taking them through the night, I am so happy to be free of it as it almost cost me my life when after an ileal conduit loop urinary diversion left me with raging infection in both kidneys, thank you for your amazing product :o)

Nothing to lose

Dear Anna,

I was under the care of a Urologist for nearly 30 years for recurrent urinary tract infections. I have had numerous cystoscopies with dilatations, and endless courses of antibiotics which invariably led to bouts of thrush. My Urologist, who became like an old friend because I saw him so often, tried everything to help me. I even had a course of bladder instillations administered weekly by a district nurse. Wishing all fellow bladder sufferers freedom from symptoms

Forgot to check my WDM was in work bag last Friday and didn't realize till out rambling with students miles away from base. By the time I returned home at 4pm I was doubled over in pain and "Dry " voiding with no relief. Immediately started emergency treatment- 4g followed by 3g an hour for next 4 hours, then 2 hourly, 3hourly through the night, then continued 3g every 2-4 hours for next 24 hours. acute symptoms were relieved within 12 hours and by 24 hours was out and about again. Am 5 days on now and still have some intermittent irritation and am very tired, probably because of hot weather & work causing mild dehydration which I know my bladder hates! Also I always need large doses and didn't take often enough once back at work.
I have been using WDM successfully for 7 years now, having previously suffered with frequent bladder & kidney infections. I’d become so used to not having a painful bladder that it was quite a shock to suddenly be experiencing an excruciating full blown attack -.(constant, severe bladder pain & spasm, acute urgency, cloudy offensive urine etc) - I'd forgotten how debilitating it can be.I also piggy backed with some xylotene for this attack as it helps reduce the urgency more quickly.
This attack was almost certainly sex related as I always take large doses before and regularly(3-4hrly) for 24-48hours after sex which is what I have found works for me- and on this occasion I was without it for 12 hours the day after- I have now put a pack in my locker at work!
