No. It's a sugar, which makes it a food. Like people who don't eat enough vegetables, if you don't eat enough d-ribose in your diet you may notice a lack of energy.

How can I get enough d-ribose naturally in my diet?

Eat a raw food diet, including raw red meat. Speak to your doctor before considering such a course of action?

What's the first thing people notice when they start taking the High Energy D-Ribose?
