Food Poisoning Episode
At Sweet Cures we love it when a combination of our products makes a great difference to someone’s life. A recent case of food poisoning brings this to the forefront. Passing through London St Pancras, a customer stopped for a meal and got food poisoning from a lentil-based vegetarian meal. The lentils were warm but not hot. It was a few hours later when the customer realised what had happened. The stomach cramps, toilet visits, and nausea were unmistakable. Fortunately he had Anna & John’s Special Probiotic Blend to hand, and quickly took a couple of capsules hoping that would be the end of the matter. It wasn’t. Normally, a couple of the probiotic blend capsules would sort out the average case of food poisoning on the spot, so the customer realised he must have a pretty bad dose of something. He took another couple of the probiotic capsules and some Immodium. Still had the cramps and the nausea. Finally, he remembered reading about the fact that Waterfall D-Mannose is good against E.Coli, Salmonella and other gram-negative bacteria of similar genotypes. Luckily he had some in the house, so he took a couple of 1 gram tablets. Within an hour the cramps started easing off and becoming more intermittent. He drank plenty of fluids.
It wasn’t an instant cure – the virulent food poisoning infection kept trying to assert itself again, so he took a couple more of the probiotic blend capsules and another two WDM tablets in a couple of hours and went to bed. During the night he had to get up for the loo and took yet another two of each. By the morning the cramps were completely gone, and he was back to normal but took some more of the probiotic blend and another two WDM tablets to be safe.
What would have happened if he didn’t have our products in stock? With a really bad dose of food poisoning you can end up in hospital. Often antibiotics don’t work on these infections. People can and do die from them. Perhaps someone should start thinking outside the box and realise that giving masses of friendly bacteria to outcompete pathogens is a better way to go than giving antibiotics, and surely by now there is enough knowledge of the action of dmannose against E.coli and salmonella that it should be the first choice for treatment, or at least given alongside conventional treatment. We don’t care that doctors would say it was the conventional treatment that did the job, so long as lives were saved…
